1. Accepting these terms
By creating an account or using the SheRide or SheCaptain apps, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
2. Eligibility
- Riders must be at least 18 years old.
- Captains must be at least 21, hold a valid driving licence and pass SheRide's document and vehicle review.
3. The service
SheRide provides a technology platform that connects riders with independent Captains inside its service area. Fares are calculated from the ride type and the road distance of the trip, plus any paid waiting stops you add; the estimated fare is shown before you request a ride.
4. Your account
Keep your login details private — you are responsible for activity on your account. Register with accurate information and a phone number and email address you control.
5. Payments and cancellations
Rides are currently paid in cash only. If other payment methods are added, they will be announced in the app. Cancelling after a Captain has been matched may incur a cancellation fee. Repeated cancellations can temporarily pause a rider's new ride requests, and Captains who cancel accepted trips beyond the free allowance may be fined; the app explains these rules when they apply.
6. Captain accounts
Captains who collect cash fares owe SheRide a service commission on those trips. Each Captain account has an outstanding-balance limit; when it is reached, the account cannot accept new rides until the balance is settled. A ride already in progress can always be completed.
7. Conduct
Do not provide false identity information or documents, harass or threaten anyone, misuse the SOS or reporting features, or use the service unlawfully. We may suspend or close accounts that do.
8. Safety features
Trip sharing, SOS and verification are provided to support your safety, but they are not a substitute for contacting emergency services directly when you can.
9. Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided "as is". Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under applicable law.
